In 2018, OJSC “METP NAMED AFTER V.I.KOZLOV” designed and put into production unitized transformer substations with a capacity of up to 630 kVA and pole mounted substations with a capacity of up to 250 kVA in a galvanized enclosure.
The elements of the substations made of cold-rolled steel sheet are galvanized in continuous hot-dip galvanizing line, for subsequent painting. The 2nd coating class was implemented – the coating thickness is not less than 10 micrometers (more than 142 grams of zinc coating per 1 square meter).
Galvanization allows to achieve high corrosion resistance of the metal surface. Metal acquires increased resistance to moisture and salt fog. This advantage is especially important and significant in the operating conditions of boreal climate.
