Recently, in our country, as well as all over the world, there has been a trend towards more rational consumption of electricity. The final cost of construction work depends on the energy efficiency of electrical equipment, especially working continuously. One of the activities of the enterprise is the production of substations intended for heat treatment of concrete and soil. Transformer substation of KTПTO-50-12-У1 type is designed for electrical heating and other methods of electrothermal treatment of concrete and frozen soil without automatic control of concrete temperature, as well as for powering of temporary lighting and electric power tools of the three-phase 42 Volt electric system in building site conditions. KTПTO-50-12-У1 is logical extension in model range of KTПTO type substations. It is designed in addition to the previously developed model with capacity of 80 kVA with the ability to automatically control the temperature of concrete. The reduced power of the substation makes it possible to use it as effectively as possible at objects with a small amount of concreting. Substations are equipped with an oil transformer, a hinged control cabinet of a reduced size and provide a manual mode for controlling the heating of concrete. Climatic execution of “У1” allows the substation to be used openly in the construction site, unlike substations with a dry-type transformer, requiring protection (enclosure). When using KTPTO for rated power, it is possible to heat the following volumes (areas) of concrete *: – КТПТО 80 kVА – 104 m3 (14м х 7.4м х 1м) – КТПТО 50 kVА – 60 m3 (14м х 4.2м х 1м) * When using KTPTO for rated power with equal ambient conditions (-20 °С) and configuration of the concreting site. According to technical characteristics KTPTO 50 kVA is not inferior to substations with a dry-type transformer of the TСДЗ type with a capacity of 63 kVA. Taking into account the world trend to reduce construction costs in anticipation of the autumn-winter season, OJSC “METP NAMED AFTER V.I. KOZLOV” made a sufficient number of KTПTO-50-12-У1 substations and placed them in the warehouses of the company’s dealers. At the same time competitive prices were formed.
