TMGSU and TMGSU11 series transformers provide maintaining of phase voltages balance in networks of power systems and energy consumer networks with irregular phase-to-phase loads. Zero-sequence resistance in TMGSU and TMGSU11 transformers is on average three times smaller as compared to transformers of similar parameters having no balancers.

Full testing during production
Three-phase oil transformers of the TMGSU, TMGSU11 series (TMG and TMG11 with a balancing device) are designed to convert electricity in the networks of power systems and consumers of electricity in an outdoor or indoor installation of moderate (from plus 40 to minus 45 °C) or cold (from plus 40 to minus 60 oC) climate.
The environment is non-explosive, does not contain dust in concentrations that reduce the parameters of products in unacceptable limits. Transformers are not designed to work in conditions of shaking, vibration, shock, in a chemically active environment. Installation height above sea level no more than 1000 m.
Transformers of the TMGSU, TMGSU11 series provide maintenance of phase voltage symmetry in the networks of power systems and consumers of electricity with uneven phase load. The zero sequence resistance of these transformers is on average three times less than that of transformers with the corresponding parameters without a balancing device with a connection circuit for the Yyn0 windings.
Rated frequency 50 Hz. Voltage regulation is carried out in the range up to ± 5% on a completely disconnected transformer by switching the branches of the HV winding in steps of 2.5%.
According to GOST 11677, the maximum deviations of the technical parameters of the transformers are: short-circuit voltage ± 10%; short circuit loss on the main branch + 10%; loss of idling + 15%; gross weight + 10%.
Inputs and outlets of the neutral of the windings of LV transformers of the TMGSU11 series are designed for a continuous load with a current equal to 100% of the rated current of the LV winding.
Transformers of the TMGSU, TMGSU11 series of tight execution, without oil conservatives. Temperature changes in the oil volume are compensated by a change in the volume of the tank corrugations due to their elastic deformation.
To control the oil level in the transformers, a float type oil indicator is provided.
To prevent the occurrence of excessive pressure in the tank in excess of the permissible pressure in transformers with power from 25 to 63 kV·A, a safety valve is installed.
A sleeve is provided on the transformer cover for installing a liquid glass thermometer to measure the temperature of the upper layers of oil.
Transformers with a capacity of 250 kV·A (160 kV·A – by order of the consumer) are equipped with transport rollers for moving the transformer in the longitudinal and transverse directions. When installing the rollers, the sizes H, H1 (see table) increase by 94 mm.
