Contribution of the METZ Plant to the preparation of the Olympics 2014

For the purposes of improvement of the transport infrastructure for the 2014 Olympic Games Russian Railroads will provide for the region a new main line Adler - Alpika-Service. This railroad will help to deliver spectators and participants to the mountain stadiums and ice palaces.

The power supply of 48 km of the railroad will be effected with the use of complete transformer substations of 2KTPB type of 100; 160; 250 kVA power ratings, produced by Minsk Electrotechnical Plant.

The Plant will also supply power transformers for the Olympic facility “Rosa Khutor” – a high-mountain station for ski mountaineering. For this purpose are delivered ÒÑÇÃË type power transformers of 1000; 1250; 1600 kVA power ratings.
